Stable channel demand, Smartphone demand keeps improving

DRAM

Due to COVID-19, the PC demand keeps strong momentum so far.
In this month, consumer price raised as well. However, consumer demand is not strong.
2Gb DDR3 ASP raised 6% in this month, and 4Gb DDR3 ASP raised 10% in this month, the supply constrain is the major reason.

The Channel UDIMM demand is stable, the component price is getting higher, especially the 8Gbit DDR4. Which is insufficiently support to the market.
The UDIMM ASP for the Channel market is relatively flat this month.

In this quarter, RDIMM ASP is lower than the previous projection. Some server OEM requested low price in order to reduced the BOM pressure to be profitable.

The smartphone market keeps improving, the xMCP price does not decline a lot in this quarter, the 32+16, 128+64 xMCP shipment is good.

NAND

The channel demand is stable due to the coming shopping festival and holiday seasons.
Some vendors received the upside order from the retailed market, and the raw Nand allocation to the module house is less than expected.
Raw Nand price up slightly in the last week of this month.
However, we haven’t seen very strong and solid demand from the channel market yet, we may expect the selling price decline again after these events.

The eSSD demand is not back to normal yet, some vendors promote their eSSD aggressively recently.
The cSSD ASP for PC OEM declined more than expected in the quarter, and we may see the price decline in the coming quarter as well.

The low density eMMC price up a little in the month. The discrete eMMC and UFS price in this quarter is relatively flat with the previous quarter.
