DRAM demand gets weaker, demand side inventory hike

Channel demand remained soft, the trading transaction is not much in the first half of this month.
The component spot trading price declined slightly, even though the DRAM suppliers’ price offering to the module house is stable and tends to sell at a higher price.

PC demand is weak, the PC OEM shipment would be poor than the original plan in the first quarter.
Their component inventory keeps increasing, and they cut component orders couple times to prevent the inventory from increasing.
The PC DRAM consumption would be much weaker than expected in 1H22.

The smartphone market hasn’t seen improvement so far. The key component order keeps revising down.

The second-quarter contract price could decline, and it might not be easy to see the price rebound in 3Q22.
